July 2023 Update!

Singapore, Bali, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland.

Because I finished my residency at the Andaz Tokyo, I was free to travel for awhile, and that is exactly what I did. I was in Singapore for a few days, and performed a show at OSG Suntec, which was the first time I performed in Singapore since 2018. It was great to see friends again since the pandemic.

Then I took a quick weekend getaway to Bali. It was pretty fun and adventurous the whole time, especially when I got to jam with a band. I was walking around (with my guitar of course) and I heard this live band on a rooftop, so I went to check them out. well, of course they asked me to come up and sing a song (or 5! ha ha)

I left for Hong Kong soon after, and I was there to perform for a special 50th birthday party. it was a really fun time, and I really enjoyed Hong Kong (I suspect I will be back next year 😜). I went early to practice with some friends for the event as I did some duets. I also performed another private party later in the week and that was fun too!

I went back to Tokyo, this time it was to perform at a friends wedding! this wedding was really fun and I even got to perform with my friend who was DJing the wedding. Check out the videos below!

Wedding vibes

After Tokyo I went back to America for the first time in over 6 months: Las Vegas. I was happy to have some quality time with some friends, but I also spent some time doing some upgrades to my pedalboard. Traveling to so many countries with different power requirements (Japan is 100V, Singapore and Hong Kong is 240v) has put a lot of strain on my pedalboard power. So I found a solution that would solve this problem: a new power system for my pedalboard that would allow me to take any input power from around the world, without worry of breaking my precious pedals. here’s a before and after look at the underbelly of my pedalboard.

4th of July in Las Vegas.

I also did a quick weekend trip to Los Angeles to visit some friends, but that brings me to July 2023! I’m going to be up in the Pacific Northwest for most of this month, including a wedding in Vancouver, BC and then probably some more adventures near Portland, Oregon and nearby. Stay tuned for some random show announcements!
